HOW DOES THE BIBLE EXPLAIN THE EXISTENCE OF DINOSAURS?

While the teaching of the Bible and the various theories of macroevolution are diametrically opposed to each other, there is no inconsistency between the teaching of the Bible and the existence of dinosaurs. The Bible teaches that "in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth"; that "in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is...." (Genesis 1:1; Exodus 20:11; cf. Genesis 1 & 2; Nehemiah 9:6). The Bible teaches us that God created all the creatures in this world; and, therefore, we must say that God also created within the six days of creation the creatures whose bones and fossils are today called the dinosaurs. The Bible also teaches that God sent a world-wide flood which destroyed every living creature which lived upon the land, except for those animals which accompanied Noah on the ark (Genesis 6-9). This flood would certainly account for a drastic reduction in the numbers of dinosaurs, and may account for their demise. It also provides an exellent explanation for the fossilized remains of ancient creatures (including the dinosaurs), climatic changes, glaciers, water erosion and rock formations, etc.; and it removes the need to date the age of the earth millions or billions of years ago.
