If God is our savior and our hero, then why would he comdem us to hell for things that he knows we will do. It says in the Bible that we humans are sinners. And, if God created us....why would he condem us? If we all have God in our hearts and, lost in confusion, just can't seem to always keep our heads up...I believe god would NOT condem those who love him? make sense....

You must remember that God created all things good (Genesis 1:31). This includes the first man and woman, for they were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27). From Ephesians 4:24 and Colossians 3:10, we learn that the image of God is to know God and His will and to be holy and righteous (without sin). God did not introduce sin into the world; it came through the temptation of the devil and the fall and disobedience of Adam and Eve (Genesis 3). As a result, we are all born in sin and unbelief (a lack of honor and respect for God, love for Him, and trust in Him) (cf. Psalm 51:5; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3; etc.).

In spite of our sinfulness, God loved us and provided a way of salvation through the holy life and innocent sufferings and death of His Son, Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). It also says that "Jesus Christ...loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood" (Revelation 1:5). Those who will be condemned to hell on the last day are condemned, not because God didn't love them and send His Son to die for them, but because they did not receive God's salvation. The Bible says: "He that believeth on him [Jesus Christ] is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (John 3:18); and, "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him" (John 3:36).

Yes, people will be condemned to hell (which was prepared for the devil and his angels, cf. Matthew 25:41); but it will not be because God did not love them or provide a way to be saved from His eternal wrath and punishment upon sin. Rather, it will be because they rejected God's Son and His atoning sacrifice upon the cross.

I cannot answer the question as to why God would still create us since He knew that we would fall into sin and disobedience. I am, however, glad He did create me and give His Son to redeem me. And, I look forward to the day when I will be raised up and be like my risen Savior, without sin, and serving God in holiness and righteousness forever!

I cannot deny the existence of hell or that God condemns unbelieving sinners there, for God (in His Word) tells me of hell and His just punishment upon unbelievers. Don't you be deceived. Repent and receive by faith God's free gift of forgiveness and life in His Son!
