HOW DO I BECOME A CHRISTIAN?

To be a Christian is not to be perfect or without sin. If this were so, no one could be a Christian; "for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). To be a Christian is to acknowledge and confess one's own sinfulness and to trust in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, for forgiveness and life everlasting. The Bible says: "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:8-9). Since Jesus Christ suffered and died upon the cross for our sins, and the sins of all mankind, and then rose again from the dead on the third day, God is "faithful and just" when He grants us forgiveness and the eternal joys of heaven. HOW DO YOU BECOME A CHRISTIAN? By trusting in Jesus Christ as your Savior! Again, the Bible says: "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mark 16:16). Acknowledge your sinfulness and failure to please God and accept the forgiveness of sins and gift of life which He offers you through His Son, Jesus Christ!
