CAN GOD FORGIVE ME? MY SINS ARE TOO GREAT!

Many people feel that God cannot, or will not, forgive them because of their great and many sins against Him; but God's Word teaches us that "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners"--even the worst of sinners (1 Timothy 1:15-16). Jesus Christ, God's Son in human flesh, suffered upon the cross the full punishment for the sins of the whole world (cf. 1 John 2:1-2); and He rose again on the third day, proving that God's wrath against our sins has been satisfied in full (cf. Romans 4:25). Consider the fact that God forgave King David for adultery and murder, Peter for denying Jesus, and Saul (the Apostle Paul) for persecuting the Church and assisting in the imprisonment and execution of believers. Can God forgive you? Christ has died in your place to pay for your sins; and God Himself says: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool" (Isaiah 1:18). Turn to the LORD God for pardon and forgiveness; He will forgive you for the sake of Jesus, your Savior!
